QA Sample Coordinator
Basic Purpose
We are looking for a sales analyst to join our Plainville team. This position will be responsible for compiling and analyzing both internal sales data, market data (Nielsen), and building a forecast/demand planning tool. We are searching for a candidate who can dig into the data and provide valuable feedback and actionable insights to guide our promotional and sales activities.
To be successful as a sales analyst you should be able to analyze large amounts of data, accurately project sales trends, identify opportunities, and provide practical guidance to optimize sales strategies and increase market share.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Compiling, analyzing, and reporting sales data from multiple data sources on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Monitoring and analyzing competitive activity, customer, and market trends.
• Providing actionable insights to guide the sales and supply planning teams.
• Contributing to the development of sales plans and objectives.
• Monitoring and evaluating sales performance and promotional activities.
• Forecasting demand, revenue, and expenses.
• Determining sales potential and making recommendations.
• Maintain data relative to demand forecasting including hierarchy, historical data cleansing, demand sensing data and forecast model parameters.
• Tracking promotional contracts and monthly activities
• Evaluating and monitoring customer pricing recommendations
• Perform other related duties as applicable to business need
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
• Degree in business administration, finance, information systems, or marketing.
• Experience in sales analysis.
• Strong research and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office and CRM software.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Projection and forecasting skills (currently in Excel, will look for someone to build out the future of forecasting needs).
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
2. Minimum of four years of related work experience
3. Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
Preferred Qualifications
1. Six years of related work experience
2. Three years’ experience in demand planning or supply chain planning
3. Previous experience in excel forecasting
4. Previous experience in supply chain software implementation
5. CRM software experience
6. Working with market data (Nielsen) experience
Skills and Experiences to Be Gained:
1. Experience supporting statistical forecasting activities.
2. Experience preparing data, creating reports, and conducting analysis to enable informed decisions.
3. Ability to design and implement brand new processes and capabilities.
4. Ability to lead collaboration across multiple functional teams to drive business decisions.
