Jockey Driver
Basic Purpose
Jockey responsibilities include moving and positioning truck product trailers at and between plant and distribution center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Drive trailers from plant to distribution center and vice versa.
2. Position trailers at the plant and distribution center.
3. Ensure trailers containing run-off are positioned over catch pans.
4. Ensure trailer doors are secure when moving trucks from dock areas.
5. Lift and move pallets of product.
6. Wash and clean out trailers as necessary.
7. Assist in loading of product pallets.
8. Deliver and move trailers of product to freezer in York.
9. Comply with all DOT regulations and requirements.
10. Local customer delivery as required.
11. Ensure all minor and major damage to trucks and other company equipment is reported immediately to DC Manager and Safety Manager.
12. Perform other comparable and related duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in related position or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- Ability to occasionally lift 50 – 75 lbs.

- Ability to safely climb in and out of truck cabs.
- Near acuity as required by DOT, normal vision to work with computers.
