Turkey Lasagna Burger
Ingredients½ cup softened butter
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 tsp. minced garlic
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. paprika
⅛ cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 tsp. fresh parsley
1 loaf French bread, sliced horizontally
2 oz. ricotta cheese
6 oz. shredded Italian cheese blend
1 tsp. chopped fresh basil
1 lb. Plainville Farms® Ground Turkey
1 tbsp. dried Italian seasoning
1 tsp. salt
1/8 cup grated parmesan cheese
marinara sauce, basil leaves and slice tomato for garnish
InstructionsCombine butter, mayo, garlic, garlic powder, paprika, parmesan and parsley and spread on the bread. Broil for 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Cut into 5 or 6 equal portions.
Combine ricotta, Italian cheese blend and chopped basil in a bowl. Set aside.
Blend the ground turkey, Italian seasoning, salt, and parmesan and form into 5 or 6 small patties. Grill patties or place patties in skillet on medium heat and fry until done. Spread cheese mixture on patties, cover with a lid and reduce heat to low until the cheese melts, about 2-3 minutes. Spread marinara on the garlic bread. Top with burger patty, basil leaves, tomato and enjoy. Serves 5-6.
